Passing the Baton
Alexander Tselyakov, piano; Daniel Tselyakov, piano; Penderecki String Quartet; Rolston String Quartet
Johannes Brahms greatly admired Antonín Dvořák and was his musical and financial mentor. The two piano quintets to be performed are considered the finest of the late romatic repertoire. Tonight, Daniel Tselyakov, our 2020 Stockey Young Artist, shares the stage with his father, Alexander.
Dvořák: Piano Quintet No. 2 in A Major, Op. 81 Brahms: Piano Quintet in F minor. Op. 34
